Hey Guys-Good News. Had a call this afternoon from Col Don Ramsay's wife who said he is recovering well. Scheduled to be released next week to go home. He will continue to have in home care and rehab but being home will be good medicine. He has been undergoing therapy at the hospital and can eat regular food now. She said he has received many cards and letters from 589th guys and they both are so very appreciative. She asked me to pass that, along with their thanks, to everyone until he is able to do so himself. I didn't ask what hospital he is in but she said it is the best. It is the one where Superman was treated when he had the accident that paralyzed him.
She mentioned several times how appreciative he has been for the communication, best wishes and hearing from everyone who wrote him. Sounds like that may have helped with his recovery. Thanks for your response to him. He is a good guy and the 589th means a lot to him. Thanks Brothers.

Hey guys,
Received a phone call a few minutes ago from Don Ramsay's wife to let me know he fell recently. Had to have surgery and will be in rehab for about 3 weeks. She said he is doing OK, but will be out of commission for a while. I told her I would post a note for the guys and ask everyone to keep them in their thoughts and prayers. I'll check with Perry to see if we can post his address. If so please think about sending him a get well card.
I'll let you know if I hear anything else.

Anyone who would like to make the meeting at the V.A.Hospital they are held quarterly.there was a directive that the town hall meeting will be held at every local V.A. Hospital to give the veterans the opportunity to ask questions of the senior staff.i would advise for you to call your local V.A. to find out when they are going to have their next meeting.

WOW! A whole month since the 2014 Reunion and things are going well for the 589th. We are making progress on the things we talked about at the meeting and still keeping up with grand-kids and kids. Hope you are all doing well and making plans for the 2015 Reunion already. Take a look at the website and you will see we already have about 10 folks signed up already. You can also make your hotel reservations when you register for the Reunion. I hope everyone has recovered from the good time we all had, I know I stayed up later than I am used to each night and I had a great time again this year.
