Got back last night, boy what a trip... but we are home safe. It was a great reunion again, and was very glad to see all of you again! you boys did a great job getting it together. I want to Thank Capt. Camiso for helping me with "The Ambush", after talking to you I see just how lucky I am to be here today. I want to thank all my "C" Company brothers for your concern for my health, I hope I didn't step on anyones toes, at times I just get worked up about the past. These reunions help me to see that we are all the same, and we all have our own kind of hell, if you ever want to talk you can call me. Bushbandit.....

I have been to all the reunions and I have to say they get better all the time! This year was the best yet! John, I can't believe that us "C" guys missed those two beers. We will have to correct that next time! ;-)

Made it back to Texas just before 8:00 P.M. just in time to be caught in a beautiful rain storm. I stood on my driveway and just let the rain fall on my face. Haven't seen rain for several month's, that was a great gift. Thanks to all my 589th. brothers and sisters, this was a great reunion. Looking forward to next year, hope we can find a bunch of new people. Love all you guy's, God bless and have a safe year.

Got home about a hour ago. Really had a great time. Time to get excited about next year Dennie. I wish you would cheer up up for next year. Was glad we had new people to come this year. Hi, guys! I am the widow of Richard Sparks who died with Lester Ropeter at Binh Dinh on 19 Sept 1968. I just want to wish all of you a wonderful time at your reunion. Company D, 1968/69--After all these years I want to locate my Company D buddies. I was 2nd platoon, Crane Operator with Chura, Robert from (at that time) Denver, Colorado. I am from Biloxi, Mississippi, now living in the mountains in Delta, Colorado. Trent, are you out there? Remember: Despicable? LOL

Not only where they blowing bridges and mineing the roads, they ambushed us while paving on QL1.

When I reflect on what we did in Nam whether it was leave it in better shape than we found it or pave the way to Saigon or helped clear ground for fields of fire it does not matter to me. What matters to me and what is the most important thing we did in Nam was survive! For those of that did survive and come home and did not sign up for the reunion we will miss you. We will have fun talking about the things we did and how happy we are to see each other. We may even talk ab out you. There is still time to come and defend yourself again as who knows what you may be blamed for if you don't show up. Come on and join the fun, be with us again, you will enjoy it!
