hi, and welcome home guy;s. anyone from CO.D served mar . 68-69 started an khe drove 3/4 ton sargent in charge of surveying road crew ple kou. moved by LST to phan rang up to tent city between phan rang and da lat.there was a lake worked on guard tower overlooking lake 50 cal. went to da lat for supply;s what a place cobblestone roads, golf, schools, etc. then back to reality!!! anyone out there???

Ken, That was the 2nd Plt., B Co. that built Peanuts (the bridge) at the west end of Derose Hill. I was a Sgt. and with us were Barney Bacon, Tim Hall, Steve Zadroga, Sgt. Rip Van Winkle,Charlie Ayers and a lot of other good men. We were on QL-11, and boy were we glad that the earth moving Plt. finally cut through Dreos hill, before you used the old French road- up-down-over - back, a real good place for an ambush.
