On this date April 10, 1968, I returned to the US after having spent almost a year on an extended senior trip with most of the 589th Engineers that arrived by the USS John Pope. We were lucky, no blessed to have made it back to our loved ones and marry and start families and live our lives. May the 26 soldiers of the 589th that loss their lives in that conflict never be forgotten. For those that still survive, thanks for your service and best of health. Hope to see you at Ft Leonard Wood in Sept. 2025 for our last Battalion reunion.

Perry, did you get the obit on Charles Pacheco? He was in B Co. and went over with us in 1967?

The list you see is made up of our fallen brothers that we found on or about Dec 12th 2024. The plan is to eventually have all of our brothers that we know have passed away listed here as well. Thanks for the reminder though! Our Fallen Brothers lost in Vietnam are listed separately under the Fallen Brothers-In Vietnam tab. I'm looking forward to seeing you and our Brothers in FLW tis September!! |

Have never attended a reunion, didn/t even know we existed until a few years ago. Plan on attending ft. Leonard wood in September. Did my advanced training there back in 1968. Was at LZ Last Chance, Co B, Asphault platoon from 6/70 to 4/71. Was in Germany, 1968 and 1969!

WOW! Perry has found 48 Brothers we did not know we had lost! It is a fact that the Lost Brothers since Vietnam keeps growing at a very fast rate! My prayers are with the family and friends of our lost Brothers. May they RIP!
