We are up to about 30 members and 20 guests registered for the Ft Hood Mini Reunion. If you are planning to attend and haven't registered on the 589th website yet please do so. We need a headcount so the Ft Hood folks will know how many to plan for.
If you can't register on line send me a note or call and I'll help you out. Also need to be sure to register with the Hotel so you have someplace to lay your head!
I've had several conversations with the Engineers out there and they are excited to have us stop in and are planning a very nice day on Thursday.

Asking for your thoughts and prayers for one of our Em Platoon guys from C CO as we just got some somber news. Robert "Babyson" Thomas has been fighting cancer for about 15 years and has just been told by his Doctor that there is nothing else they can do for him. Babyson is in good spirits and is getting things prepared for his family to carry on. Please think of him and keep him in your prayers. We in the EM Platoon of C CO were tickled to find another one of our guys and getting to know him again. It is not fair that after all this time things turn out this way. Babyson said that "It is what it is" and there is a lot of meaning in that. Babyson you are in your Brothers thoughts and prayers and we love you! God Bless you!

Thank you to all my 589th Brothers for your condolences on my father's passing. He lived a very good life and I was able to see him on his 92nd birthday just two weeks before his passing.

The flowers from the 589th were a welcome surprise. I and my family were very thankful and touched by them.

Thanks again men for thinking of me during this difficult time.
